Friday's Feast #2

Appetizer
Make up a word and give us its definition.

Gobbersnots: Those clumps of mucus that collect in little kid's noses, and you just want to grab a tissue and help them blow it out of their nose, especially when the kids are sick and the stuff is running down the front of their faces! Oh, that bugs me!!!! Especially when it's GREEN or YELLOW, because those kids are really sick---and mommy and daddy just don't want to keep them home!

Soup
What is currently your favorite song?

Do You Hear What I Hear? Because it's my favorite Christmas song. No one ever puts it on their lists.....not a single person whose had that as their Thursday Thirteen (and that I've read) has had THAT ONE on their list!!!! :-(

Salad
What’s at the top of your Christmas wish list this year?

1. That people would buy candles
2. Finding a place for the tree
3. Keeping the relative peace I've had for the last few months, even through the hardest parts.

Main Course
Name a scent that reminds you of someone special in your life.

Cinnamon in Applesauce---it reminds me of my mom, who said it always reminds her of hers. There's few scents that really remind me of something or another, and if there are I can't remember them off the top of my head.

Something else too. Coffee---it reminds me of my husband (of course), and coffee the way I love it (it's still how I LOVE it) reminds me of going to church....they'd have the pots of coffee going in the kitchen, and I just couldn't wait until I was old enough to get some!!!!

Dessert
Who is someone on television that you feel probably shouldn’t be, and why?

Britney Spears. Do I REALLY have to explain this one???

Totally agree with your dessert!!!!

I agree with your choice of Chreistmas Carol - and I too wonder why no one puts it on their lists!

Another of my favourites is The Little Drummer Boy, with its haunting lyrics.

Your main course is scrumptious and your dessert is out of the world good.

Happy feasting.

I'm into the coffee one too. I also agree with cinnamon in applesauce. The smell of it just evokes so many memories of home and comfort. I am sick of Britney as well but I pray she grows up and gets grounded for the sake of her children. I just don't see that happening while she's being exploited everywhere.

Hi Allison. Great feast. I recently did a Christmas meme. If I had a top 10 Christmas song list, Do You Hear What I Hear would be on it. I like Bing Crosby's version the best.

Thanks for all the responses so far!

Gattina - coffee, always good! :-)

Natalie - thanks, I'm actually surprised at how many do---but then there aren't as many bloggers of the teen/early 20 set that love her that blog that I've read that do this meme either....but I've not read far :-S

Nicole Richie - Yes, she's all over :-( I actually feel really sorry for her!

David - Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks that way, LOL! And I was just thinking yesterday afternoon---I love The Little Drummer boy, too---it would be my #2!!!

Anni - Thanks! I will be checking yours soon :-) (just got up!)

Maryanne - I love cinnamon applesauce---what really invokes the memory though is while it's cooking :-D And ya know, I haven't made cinnamon applesauce in a while. Hmm.....Also, I agree on your thoughts on Britney---it makes me SAD to see what state she's in, and she can't get better while she's under the spotlight. She could do so well and be a great mom---she's just got to get herself right with God!

Dallas Meow---you're new to my blog---I have a candle biz. Knew I should have included the link!!! (will make the necessary edits!)

Manny - good to know that I'm not that only one who likes that song, and would include it on a favorites list! :-) I'm not particular, just as long as they keep to the original song!

Happy Feasting everyone!!!

I love your appetizer, I was laughing so hard when I read that. (I have two boys, so I know exactly about gobbersnots, might have to borrow the word!)

Enough said on the dessert-she needs serious help out of the limelight.

Hope you'll stop by.

Your appetizer made me laugh out loud. I have goober as part of my FF, but it's something to eat. That's why it made me laugh. You are so right though, this is a sight to behold, and I'm with you. Thanks for bringing your gobbersnots children out to make me sick too. Have a great FF and weekend. :)

I am loving your soup! That is a much over-looked classic. One of my all time faves. I should have picked a Christmas carol instead of Baby Bash! Lol oh well...
Happy feasting :)

I do love the song "Do You Hear What I Hear" as a Christmas music nut it is too hard to limit myself to just 13 fav songs...and I did this one a few weeks back. Very nice feast. Mine is also up.

Happy Friday! Those were all excellent answers.

I think a lot of us agree with your dessert. I am so tired of hearing about our national dysfunctional celebrity. :O)

Have a nice weekend. :o)

I used to look forward to drinking coffee too! Then I tasted it, LOL.

I like iced coffees with lots of milk, but ordinarily I don't drink it.

Thanks for stopping by my feast! :-)
